Raw Women's Championship -- Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley: In defeating Sasha Banks on Raw, Bayley earned the No. WWE Championship -- Jinder Mahal (c) vs. John Cena: Considering the patriotic rhetoric Cena immediately began using upon returning, it would make sense that WWE is setting this match up for their big show. SmackDown Tag Team Championship -- The New Day (c) vs. SmackDown Women's Championship -- Naomi (c) vs. Natalya: Earning her shot by winning a Fatal 5-Way match at Battleground, Natalya will look to win her first "women's" championship after previously being divas champion for two months. WWE SummerSlam, the company's second-biggest pay-per-view of the year, is still being built with a month to go until what should be a jam-packed show.




After the match, Cass and Big Show went at it for a bit with Cass hitting some Empire Elbows. Big Cass beat Enzo AmoreThis was basically a squash match, with Cass just smushing Enzo in short order. Elias Samson beat Finn Balor in a No DQ matchSamson and Balor brawled for an extended period, with the match going almost 20 minutes. After the announcement, WWE ran an angle where Strowman, Joe and Reigns all brawled in the ring and at ringside, immediately after Angle announced the match in the ring. Kurt Angle booked the Raw main event for SummerSlam on this Monday's Raw, announcing that Brock Lesnar will defend the Universal Title against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman in a Fatal Four Way match.

The current plan for the Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose storyline will see the pair team up and challenge the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. Author's TakeI had very little interest in seeing The Miz and Dean Ambrose working together any longer, despite the addition of Seth Rollins. Original plans called for Sheamus and Cesaro to defend in a multi-person tag match, whilst Rollins and Ambrose were poised for a triple threat match with The Miz. However, creative have decided to stick with the Shield reunion storyline, which is set to culminate with Ambrose finally accepting the traditional Shield fist bump - most likely after winning the Raw tag titles at SummerSlam.
