July 17 (UPI) -- WWE has canceled its Network exclusive Smackdown after-show Talking Smack that featured hosts Renee Young and Daniel Bryan interviewing WWE Superstars. "Talking Smack was an innovative, engaging, compelling and reliably hilariously funny closer look at the characters and world of the WWE. Talking Smack and Raw Talk will air following pay-per-view events, and Tuesday will continue to feature 205 Live," the company said in a statement about how Talking Smack will no longer appear following Smackdown Live on Tuesdays. A notable Talking Smack moment involved now current WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz getting in Bryan's face after the general manager said The Miz wrestled like a "coward." The moment featured a passionate speech from the A-lister that sparked a months-long feud between The Miz and Bryan.

That unexpected, ill-advised move shifts the Talking Smack conversation from "What will happen next?" A sense of realness and chaos made it one of the best stretches of the WWE TV schedule each week. The former intercontinental champ thrived in that environment, firing truth bombs at Daniel Bryan, unraveling after a loss or gleefully mocking John Cena.

We've lost Talking Smack. It appears last Tuesday was Talking Smack's last weekly episode, with WWE's statement saying the programme will now only run after pay-per-views. Although Vince "is just not as physically present as he once was" and his backstage appearances at WWE's weekly TV shows "is becoming increasingly irregular", he "…remains the singular voice of the company" – still micromanaging key details on both Raw and Smackdown.
