SI.com : reported that Talking Smack: WWE show canceled by Vince McMahon

Despite plans for occasional Talking Smack shows after SmackDown-specific pay-per-views, the long-term plan, per McMahon, is to eradicate the program. The WWE Network show, popular among fans for its organic nature, was canceled by Vince McMahon. Contrary to reports, Talking Smack was not canceled due to a lack of viewers. — Renee Young (@ReneeYoungWWE) July 14, 2017Despite infrequent recent appearances at SmackDown, McMahon remains the singular voice of his company. Vince McMahon is by no means detached from his product, yet sports Illustrated was informed that the 70-year-old is just not as physically present as he once was.

WWE Cancelled Talking Smack and Forget To Tell Its Hosts

WWE Cancelled Talking Smack and Forget To Tell Its Hosts
Debuting in August 2016 on the WWE Network, Talking Smack gave WWE superstars a forum to expand their characters beyond the ring. The WWE told PWInsider that like Talking Smack, Raw Talk will also be back as a recap show following the brand's respective pay-per-view shows. Only on live weekly show remains on the WWE Network — 205 Live, which airs immediately after SmackDown. But that's what happened to WWE Talking Smack hosts Renee Young and Daniel Bryan, who learned Friday on social media that their 20-minute studio talk show that aired Tuesday nights following SmackDown Live would be no more. It also comes months after the WWE canned a similar program called Raw Talk, which aired Monday nights on the network after the three-hour live WWE Raw show.

Max Landis Has Started A Petition To Make WWE Bring Back Talking Smack

WWE prides itself on hearing the voice of the WWE Universe, so let's speak up. In the case of the recently cancelled WWE Smackdown Live after-show, Talking Smack, however, the fan doing the campaigning has a little bit more star power than usual. Max Landis, writer of the comic book Superman: American Alien and its upcoming follow-up, Superman: Agent of Batman, amongst other things, has started a petition on Change.org to bring back the show. Sign this petition, and let's make it clear that WE, the WWE Universe, the $9.99ers and the crowds on Youtube who make WWE's channel the second most watched content IN THE WORLD, want "Talking Smack" BACK. In the petition, which already has over 3000 signatures, Landis writes:"Talking Smack" was an innovative, engaging, compelling and reliably hilariously funny closer look at the characters and world of the WWE.
