Is WWE Bringing Back Taboo Tuesday? according to : WhatCulture

WWE.comWWE has filed a new trademark for the name "Taboo Tuesday", fueling speculation that the erstwhile pay-per-view could be set for a return to the company's event calendar (via 411mania). The pay-per-view was then scrapped thereafter as WWE began to introduce gimmick match-centered shows (such as Hell in a Cell and TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs) instead. Increasingly, the non-"Big Four" events are now being packaged with themes that differentiate them from ostensibly more generic shows. And one that allows fans (or perhaps merely network subscribers) to have a say in the booking of the card could be a welcome addition. It was then replaced in 2006 by "Cyber Sunday", making use of the same concept, which ran for a further three years.

Taboo Tuesday became Cyber Sunday for a few years, but we haven't seen an online voting themed PPV since 2008. WWE even dedicated an entire pay-per-view to the idea of fans choosing something about every match but they haven't done it in a while. An actual Tabboo Tuesday event hasn't been seen in twelve years but WWE might be thinking about dusting off this old event idea very soon. According to PWInsider, WWE applied for a trademark for Taboo Tuesday with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 24. Remember how exciting it was to feel like fans had total control of what would happen in WWE with the click of a button?
